Custom Embroidery and Jacquard Textile Production
Hotels, brands and retailers often want their name or design to be part of the product, not just printed on a label. DRU Textile produces logo embroidery on towels, bathrobes and baby items, as well as woven designs such as jacquard and dobby border towels and jacquard bath mats, in Denizli, Turkey. This page explains the options, which artwork to send and how placement, size and colours are agreed before production.
Logo Embroidery for Hotel and Baby Textiles
Embroidery stitches your logo or design onto the product with thread. It is a durable way to brand hotel towels and bathrobes, and a popular detail on baby and children's textiles such as bathrobes, hooded towels and blankets.
Because embroidery is added after the fabric is woven or knitted, the same base product can carry different logos or names. This makes it practical for hotel groups with several properties, or for brands that want personalised details on part of a collection.
- Hotel towels with logo embroidery, in jacquard or plain weave with dobby border options
- Hotel bathrobes in 100% cotton, 380-450 GSM terry, with logo embroidery
- Home bathrobes in shawl collar, kimono and hooded styles
- Baby and children's bathrobes, hooded towels, blankets and other baby items
Jacquard and Dobby Border Towels
With jacquard weaving, the design is created in the weave itself. A logo, pattern or hotel name can be woven into the terry or into the border, so it is part of the towel rather than added on top.
A dobby border is a woven band across the ends of a towel, typically with a flat or simple geometric structure that frames the terry. It gives towels a neat, finished look and is often combined with logo embroidery above or on the border.
For hotel textiles, we produce terry products from 300 to 800 GSM, in jacquard or plain weave, with cotton and cotton-polyester yarn options. The right weight and weave are chosen according to the product and how it will be used.
Jacquard Bath Mats and Bordered Home Textiles
In home textiles, jacquard and bordered designs are used mainly on bath mats and bathrobes. Our bath mats are produced at 450-900 GSM in cotton and micro cotton yarns, with plain dyed, jacquard and bordered designs, non-slip base options and custom sizes.
Home bathrobes are produced at 300-500 GSM with Ring, Zero Twist, Micro Cotton and bamboo yarn options, and can carry embroidery or jacquard details. Pairing a jacquard bath mat with an embroidered bathrobe in matching colours is a simple way to build a coordinated bathroom range for concept stores, marketplace sellers and hotel projects.
Embroidery, Jacquard or Dobby Border: Which to Choose
Each option gives a different look and suits different quantities. The table reflects typical characteristics in towel and home textile production; the right option for your product, budget and quantities is confirmed during sampling.
| Option | How it is made | Typical look | Typically suits | Points to consider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Logo embroidery | Thread is stitched onto the finished product | Raised logo with clear colour contrast | Hotel towels and bathrobes, baby items, personalised products | Very fine lines and small text can lose detail on terry; the logo may need simplifying |
| Jacquard | The design is woven into the fabric on the loom | Pattern or logo built into the fabric, often tone-on-tone or two-colour | Towels, bath mats and bathrobes in repeat or larger programmes | Needs a weaving set-up for each design, so it typically suits longer runs |
| Dobby border | A woven band across the towel ends | Clean, structured border framing the terry | Hotel and home towels, often combined with embroidery | Best for simple geometric designs; detailed logos are usually added with embroidery or jacquard |
What Artwork to Send
For embroidery, your logo is first converted into a stitch file, a step known as digitising. For jacquard, the design is converted into a weave file. Both steps work best with clean, well-prepared artwork.
- Your logo in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG); a high-resolution image can be used as a starting point
- Pantone or thread colour references for each colour
- The required size, for example the logo width in centimetres
- The placement on the product, ideally marked on a photo or sketch
- For jacquard: the layout or repeat, the number of colours and whether the design is tone-on-tone or contrasting
- Any brand guidelines on minimum logo size or clear space
When a simplified logo works better
If your logo has very small text, gradients or fine outlines, we may suggest a simplified version for embroidery or jacquard. Terry loops and woven structures cannot reproduce every detail a printed logo can, so a cleaner version often looks better on the finished product.
How Placement and Size Are Agreed
Placement and size are agreed before any stitching or weaving starts. We share a placement proposal, such as a sketch or mock-up showing the logo position and size on the towel, bathrobe or baby item, and you confirm or adjust it.
Common placements include above or on the border of a towel, the chest, back or pocket of a bathrobe, and a corner of a blanket. The final position is checked on a physical sample, because a size that looks right on screen can look different on a thick terry towel or a small baby garment.
Once approved, placement, size and colours are recorded in the specifications, and the approved sample becomes the reference for production and quality control. Embroidery and jacquard work follows our standard process: brief, sourcing, sample, approval, production, quality control, packaging and export.
