Frequently Asked Questions About Textile Manufacturing

Practical answers for brands, wholesalers, hotels and importers planning private label or custom textile production with DRU Textile, a textile manufacturer in Denizli, Turkey.

Private Label and OEM

With Private Label (OEM), we manufacture products to your own design, specifications or tech pack and finish them with your brand's labels and packaging. With Brand Label (ODM), you start from our existing product designs and material options, customise them where needed and sell the products under your own brand. The right model depends on how much of the product development you want to handle yourself, and we can compare both options with you at the first discussion.

A detailed tech pack speeds things up, but it is not the only way to start. Many projects begin with a reference sample, photos or a short brief describing the product, material and target market. Our process starts with the product brief and moves through sourcing and sampling, so specifications are clarified and confirmed on the sample before production.

Yes, we work with both new and established brands, as well as wholesalers, distributors, importers, retailers, hotels and e-commerce sellers. For a new brand, the Brand Label (ODM) model can be a practical way to launch using our existing designs, while established brands often come with their own specifications. In both cases, quantities are planned around the product and material rather than a single fixed minimum.

As a textile manufacturer in Turkey, we produce baby and children's textiles such as bodysuits, sleeping bags, TOG-rated pyjama sets, hooded towels, children's bathrobes, blankets and muslin swaddles. We also manufacture hotel textiles, including towels, bathrobes, bath mats, bed linen, slippers and pillows, and home textiles such as bathrobes, duvet cover sets and bath mats. Alongside finished products, we offer custom fabric development and wholesale roll fabric supply.

MOQ

We offer flexible MOQ options depending on product and material. Rather than applying one fixed minimum to every order, we look at the product, fabric, colours and level of customisation in your request. The applicable minimums are confirmed in your quotation, so it helps to share your expected quantities when you first contact us.

The main factors are the product type, the fabric or yarn, and whether that material needs to be produced or dyed specifically for your order. Custom colours, prints, embroidery, labels and packaging can also influence the minimum, as each has its own production set-up. Products made from standard materials with fewer variations generally allow more flexibility.

Mixing is often possible, but how it works depends on the product and the material. For fabric orders, per-colour and total minimums are confirmed with each quotation; for finished products, the split between colours, sizes and designs is planned together when we prepare your offer. Sharing your intended assortment early helps us suggest the most efficient option.

Yes, the two are assessed differently. For wholesale roll fabric and custom fabric development, minimums are set per colour and in total, and are confirmed with each quotation. For finished products, the minimum also takes into account cutting, sewing, accessories and packaging, so it is assessed product by product.

Sampling

Yes, sampling is a standard step in our production process and comes before approval and bulk production. For baby and children's textiles and home textiles, we provide a free pre-production sample. For other product groups and fabric development, sample terms are agreed per project.

A clear product brief is the best starting point: product type, material or composition, GSM or thread count if known, sizes, colours and any logo, print or embroidery details. Reference photos, a physical sample or a tech pack are very helpful if you have them. You can send your request through our contact form or by email to marketing@drutekstil.com.

Sampling time depends on the product and on whether the fabric, colour or print needs to be developed specifically for your project. Items made from available materials can usually be prepared faster than fully custom developments. We confirm the expected sampling time once we have reviewed your request.

Your feedback on the sample is part of the approval stage, and bulk production starts only after the sample is approved. If adjustments are needed to fit, fabric, colour or finishing, they are discussed with you and a revised sample can be arranged where required. Revision terms are agreed per project, so it is best to clarify them at the start.

Pricing

We work with competitive, project-based pricing. Each quotation is prepared for the specific product, material, customisation and quantity you need, rather than taken from a fixed price list. This allows us to balance quality and cost for your project instead of offering a one-size-fits-all option.

The main cost drivers are the fibre and yarn type, fabric weight (GSM) or thread count, construction and the size of the item. Printing, embroidery, jacquard designs, accessories such as zips, and custom labels and packaging also affect the price. Order quantity, colour variety and the agreed delivery term are reflected in the final quotation as well.

Yes, sharing your target price helps us plan the project realistically. Our approach is accessible premium: reaching the highest possible quality within your target price level. Where needed, we suggest alternatives in material, weight or finishing to help the product fit your budget while keeping the qualities that matter most to your customers.

Please send the product type, material preferences, sizes, estimated quantities, customisation details (logo, print, embroidery, labels, packaging) and your destination country. The more complete your brief, the more accurate the quotation will be. You can reach us via the contact form, by email at marketing@drutekstil.com, or by phone and WhatsApp on +90 546 883 52 19.

Fabrics and Materials

We primarily produce knitted and woven fabrics, which can be supplied printed or plain-dyed. Our fabric range includes single jersey, interlock, rib, kashkorse, terry and muslin, and our baby products also use French terry, waffle and piqué structures. For hotel and home textiles, we produce terry fabrics as well as woven bed linen fabrics in plain, striped, jacquard and satin constructions.

For baby and children's textiles, we use 100% cotton, organic cotton, modal and bamboo. For hotel and home textiles, options include cotton and cotton-polyester, as well as Ring, Zero Twist, Micro Cotton and bamboo yarns. Blends are possible, and blend ratios are agreed per project.

For hotel textiles, we produce terry products from 300 to 800 GSM and woven fabrics from 145 to 400 TC. In home textiles, our bathrobes range from 300 to 500 GSM, bath mats from 450 to 900 GSM and duvet cover sets from 145 to 400 TC. For knitted fabrics and baby products, the weight (GSM), width and construction are produced to your requirements.

Yes, we offer both custom fabric development and wholesale roll fabric supply. Knitted and woven fabrics can be produced to your required weight, width and construction, in line with OEKO-TEX® standards, and supplied plain-dyed or printed. Per-colour and total minimums, along with technical details, are confirmed with each quotation.

Printing and Embroidery

We offer plain dyeing as well as reactive, pigment and digital printing. The most suitable method depends on the fabric, the design and how the product will be used and washed. We recommend an option after reviewing your artwork, and the result is confirmed on the sample.

Yes, logo embroidery is available for hotel bathrobes and towels, as well as for baby, children's and home textiles. Towels can also feature jacquard-woven designs or a dobby border, and hotel slippers can carry a printed logo. Placement, size and thread colours are agreed with you and confirmed on the sample.

Colour is one of the main customisation options for both fabrics and finished products. Please share your colour references, such as Pantone codes or a physical swatch, at the brief stage. The achievable shade can vary with the fibre, fabric and dyeing or printing method, so colours are checked and approved on the sample before bulk production.

It depends on the product, the look you want and how the item will be used. Printing suits detailed or all-over designs, embroidery gives a raised and durable finish for logos, and jacquard weaves the design into the fabric itself, which works well for towels and bathrobes. We are happy to advise on the best option for your product and budget.

Labels and Packaging

Yes, private label production includes your own labels, hangtags and packaging. These can be customised with your logo and brand design, so the finished products are ready for sale under your name. Artwork and label details are confirmed before production starts.

Label content is prepared according to the artwork and information you provide, typically including your brand name, size, composition and care instructions. Labelling requirements vary by destination market, so please share any specific rules from your country or retailer at the brief stage. This allows them to be taken into account in the label design agreed for your order.

Yes, packaging is one of our customisation options and is handled as a dedicated step after quality control in our production process. Packaging can be planned around how the products will be sold, whether through retail, e-commerce or hotel supply. The packaging type and materials are agreed per project and reflected in the quotation.

Sustainable production is part of our approach, with a focus on resource efficiency and on reducing waste and excess stock. If you have specific packaging preferences, such as reduced packaging or particular materials, please include them in your brief so they can be assessed for your project. Planning sensible quantities and making long-lasting products are also part of reducing waste.

Certifications and Testing

Our certifications include GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and ISO 9001. Certificate details, such as scope and validity, are shared on request. Please let us know which certificates your market or customers require so we can confirm how they apply to your products.

Our baby and children's textiles are offered as OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and GOTS certified. Since certification relates to specific materials and products, please tell us which items and fabrics you are planning so we can confirm the relevant certificates. Certificate details are shared on request.

Yes, certificate details are shared on request. Please contact us with the product and material you are interested in so we can send the information relevant to your order. This is especially useful when your retailer or importer needs documentation during supplier approval.

Quality control is a standard step in our production process, before packaging and export. If your market, retailer or brand requires additional laboratory tests or specific test reports, please include these requirements in your brief. Testing requirements are discussed and agreed per project.

Production Lead Times

Production for hotel textiles typically takes 20–40 days, and for baby and children's textiles 20–45 days. For home textiles, fabric and other products, the lead time is agreed per order. The confirmed timeline for your project is shared with your quotation or order confirmation.

Lead time depends on the product, the quantity, whether fabric or colours need to be developed specially, and the level of customisation such as printing, embroidery, labels and packaging. Timely approval of the sample and artwork also plays a big role. Sharing complete details at the start helps keep the schedule on track.

Bulk production begins after the sample and order details have been approved, and the timeline is confirmed at that point. Our process runs from product brief and sourcing through sampling and approval to production, quality control, packaging and export. Delays at the approval stage can move the production date, so prompt feedback helps.

Urgent timelines can be discussed, but feasibility depends on the product, material availability and the current production plan. Projects using available materials and simpler customisation are generally easier to accelerate. Please mention your required delivery date in your first message so we can tell you early whether it is achievable.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are confirmed in each quotation or proforma invoice and depend on the order and the customer. They are set out clearly before you confirm the order, so you know what to expect at each stage. Please ask about payment terms when you request your quotation.

In textile manufacturing, it is common for payment to be split into a deposit before production and a balance before shipment or against documents. Whether and how such a structure applies to your order is set out in your quotation or proforma invoice. We recommend agreeing the payment structure before the order is confirmed and production is scheduled.

It is worth confirming the currency, the payment method, the timing of each payment and what the price includes, such as packaging and the delivery term. These points are set out in the quotation or proforma invoice for each order. Agreeing them in writing avoids misunderstandings and keeps the production schedule on track.

Payment terms are assessed per order and per customer, so they are not the same for every buyer. For repeat business, terms are discussed case by case and confirmed in the quotation or proforma invoice. Long-term partnership is central to how we work, so any changes are discussed openly with you.

Export and Delivery

Yes, DRU Textile brings more than 60 years of experience in textile manufacturing and more than 10 years in textile exports, working with importers, distributors, wholesalers, brands and retailers. Our quality standards are set for export markets, and export is the final step of our production process. Please tell us your destination country when you request a quotation.

Delivery can be arranged on common Incoterms such as EXW, FOB or DAP; the right option is agreed for each order. The chosen term defines which costs and responsibilities lie with us and which lie with you. If you are unsure, we can explain the options when preparing your quotation.

This depends on the delivery term agreed for your order. Under EXW, for example, the buyer arranges collection and onward transport, while under DAP the goods are delivered to the agreed destination, excluding import duties and taxes. Your quotation states which delivery term the price is based on.

Please share the destination country and delivery address, the consignee details and your preferred delivery term. If your customs broker, importer or retailer needs specific documents or carton markings, let us know early so they can be planned alongside packaging. The final shipping arrangements are confirmed for each order.

NDA and Design Confidentiality

Designs, tech packs and artwork you share with us are used only for your project. We understand that product development is a significant investment for a brand, and transparency and long-term partnership are central to how we work. If you have specific confidentiality requirements, please mention them at the start.

Signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you share detailed files can be discussed. Please mention it at first contact and send the NDA text you would like to use, so it can be reviewed before any design files are exchanged. In the meantime, you can share a general product brief without confidential details.

Designs and tech packs provided by a buyer are used only for that buyer's project. This is different from the Brand Label (ODM) model, where products are developed from our own existing designs. If exclusivity is important for your product, please raise it during the quotation stage so expectations are clear on both sides.

At the beginning, a general brief is usually enough to assess feasibility and prepare an initial offer: product type, material, approximate quantities and customisation needs. Detailed tech packs, artwork and patterns can be shared once you are ready to move forward. This lets you protect your designs while still getting a clear picture of the project.

Baby Clothing

Yes. DRU Tekstil offers production and supply processes for wholesale baby clothing orders. For wholesale purchases, pricing is determined according to quantity, model and fabric selection.

DRU Tekstil can offer production/supply options for various baby clothing products such as baby bodysuits, sleepsuits, rompers, pyjamas, sets, hats, booties and bibs. The current product list by category is shared according to the season and production plan.

Yes. Model development or revision of existing models can be carried out in line with the colour, cut and fabric trends in demand for the 2026 season. In collection planning, the target age group, season and sales channel (e-commerce/store) are taken into account.

In baby clothing, fabric selection and production details are planned with skin sensitivity in mind. If you have a specific expectation such as an allergy/sensitivity (e.g. a particular fabric type, stitch type or label detail), please be sure to state it before ordering.

Size ranges (0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, etc.) are prepared according to your order plan. If you have a request for a custom pattern/measurement chart, a measurement set can be created before production.

For wholesale and production orders, return/exchange conditions vary depending on whether the product is “standard stock” or “custom production”. The risks of defective production are minimised through the pre-production sample/approval process. The conditions are shared in writing at the order stage.
